Time Will Slip Away - Lyrics
Crashing waves on the rocks surround her
A piece of silk across her eyes
Across her lap lies a lyra
The raging storm drawing near
Her right hand plucks out a chord
Ignoring the plight the Fates intently weave
We know in Time the storm will pass
All trials resolve at last
A mere step upon the path
The Blue of Sky and Sunlit rays:
No clouds to hide their Grace
And yet Time will slip away…
Her refuge robs her of Light
Hoping the trials resolved in the past
Will let her step be unhindered
Regaining hope; yet she lingers
She hesitates as the storm subsides
Withdrawing waters reveal the haunting past
She cannot escape by running away
She cannot escape the mounting pressure…
We know in Time the storm will pass
All trials resolve at last
A mere step upon the path
The Blue of Sky and Sunlit rays:
No clouds to hide their Grace
And yet Time will slip away…
