Like Scintillating Gems - Lyrics

The Sun will light the briar patch, the bramble lay entwined

A field-mouse makes its way amongst the grass.

The pebbles by the babbling brooke like scintillating gems

Illuminate the hours as they pass.

The water lazily will make its way toward the sea,

While herons fish in silence ‘neath the shadow of the trees

The clouds will pass unhindered as they glide across the sky;

A shepherd leads his flock to graze nearby.

The cherry tree will bloom its blossoms shimmer in the breeze,

Its fruit to rival hues of Burgundy

A sparrow lights upon a branch and sings to greet the morn,

The cardinal will warble different keys.

Our dreams are fashioned by echoes of the past,

And words we used when we were young.

When all that mattered was discovering our life

As it revealed all Secrets found under the Sun.

Time and time again all dreams resolve to be a light:

Shining in the dark, a blinding beacon to our sight.

The rending of this fragile veil will last but for a time

As symbols fade the new born day does shine.

The Sun will light the briar patch, the bramble lay entwined

A field-mouse makes its way amongst the grass.

The pebbles by the babbling brooke like scintillating gems illuminate the hours

As the pebbles by the babbling brooke like scintillating gems

Illuminate the hours as they pass, illuminate the hours as they pass.
